JUVENILE UPND Sesheke Member of Parliament Romeo Kang’ombe has walked to freedom from Chinsali Court with a two-year suspended sentence and a K10, 000.00 fine for the offence of assault.
In this matter, the lawmaker was accused of abducting armed paramilitary police who passed with flying colors from Kamfinsa School of Public Order Maintenance.
Kang’ombe was also said to have turned the two hefty officers into bare knuckle punching bags and leaving their faces puffed like they had rubbed their faces in a bees’ nest.
Meanwhile, in sentencing him, Magistrate Julius Malata who last week found him guilty advised the lawmaker to desist from re-arranging the faces of law enforcement officers or he would be back in prison.
