“So Teach us to number our days. That we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12
You will never make your life count until you make your day count, every hour count, every moment count, until you make your actions count, until you make your words count and until you make your thoughts count. Until your habits count your life cannot count. Let’s continue today untangling the successful habits that must be practiced daily for life to count.
This week Monday 2nd January we learnt that:
1. Your destiny rises or falls according to the gauge of your life attitude.
2. Your happiness is a responsibility that cannot be delegated.
3. The use of your time determines the usefulness of your life.
4. Prioritizing your life daily in the light of your vision.
5. Your daily decision to stay committed sets you apart from the half-doers in the game of life.
Today I want to conclude that if you want to make your life count this year;
6. You must be value-driven rather than crowd-driven.
What do you stand for? Are you being swept by the current of people’s opinions and actions or do you stem the tide by choosing to “stand out” even when “everybody blends in”? Developing positive values and living them out daily gives you a solid foundation for your destiny to be built on and also sustains it from the wreckage.
6. Have a personal growth plan.
Growth is a word that is indispensable in the vocabulary of success. Personal growth encompasses improving oneself; spiritually, mentally; relationally; emotionally, and financially. Have a personal growth plan; read books that will upgrade you; attend seminars, and training; seek and gather every good input that is available to you to improve your life. Be a constant learner in the domain of life.
7. Add value to other people’s life.
In the domain of success; effective relationship is a king. Place a high value on people; respect and care for them. People are the greatest assets in business and life. Relationships can work wonders. The purpose of human life is to serve, and show compassion and the will to help others. Create time for family and others. Share your knowledge with them. Give generously and quietly and be a source of encouragement to people.
