A YOUNG life dedicated to saving the planet has been cut short while fighting for the planet.
Musopelo Mwanda’s final days were spent doing what she was passionate about, pursuing a dream of building a sustainable future for generations to come.
She died in the east African country of Tanzania where she had gone to attend the 2024 Forum of the Standing Committee first the United Nations Change, a global platform focused on urgent environmental issues.
According to reports, the Mwanda suddenly fell ill shortly after arriving in Tanzania on August 31, 2024 and was taken to AICC Hospital in Arusha, where she eventually succumbed to the illness.
Mwanda had dedicated her life to raising awareness about the impacts of climate change, particularly in Africa and was known for her eloquent speeches and tireless campaigns.
Her advocacy turned Mwanda into a powerful voice in international discussions about environmental justice.
In a statement, the family revealed that funeral gathering of fallen heroine is being hosted in 12 miles, in Mungule village, off Great North Road, after Twalumba Resort.
