CHARGED and ready for the much anticipated encounter with the Atlas Lions of Morocco this evening, the copper bullets hold their final preparatory training in Agdir, Morocco.

With Zambia’s national team coach Avram Grant having released the final 24 man squad ahead of the 2026 World cup qualifiers, the Zambian side maintains its focus and determination.

The Chipolopolo concluded their preparations for today’s (Friday) Group E FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Atlas Lions of Morocco with a session at the Adrar Stadium annex1 pitch before walking through the match day venue.

Grant took time to express his confidence in the team ahead of the encounter while acknowledging the tough challenge Morocco will bring to the table.

“It’s not easy to play Morocco especially in their home but I think every difficulty is a challenge. We know our position, we know what Morocco is all about.. if we fight a good fight in football everything is possible,” he said.

He added that the Chipolopolo boys will not take any team lightly nor shy away from delivering their best performance in the game.

Grant revealed that the teams intentions is to accumulate enough points and proceed to meet five other teams as they strive to realise their World Cup dreams.

“We are not going to under estimate any team and we will not run away from any team,” said Grant.

“Provided we create points then will have five games to play and we will well be on our way to the world cup.”

All eyes will be on the copper bullets tonight at 21:00 hours as they make their campaign to have a spot at the global elite showpiece.
