UPND National Youth Chairperson Gilbert Liswaniso says free money is a thing of the past and cannot be tolerated in the current regime.
In a Facebook post, Liswaniso stated that gone are the days when young people with potential to make it in life, depended on handouts.
He believes that with the culture of hard work embedded in Zambians, the country is likely to grow economically.
The youth leader noted that he is encouraged by those who say there’s no free money under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema which he said shows that the people have now embraced the culture of hard work.
“When I hear people say, very few people can give you money for free mwa Bally, I am encouraged. It means, we’re now embracing the culture of hardwork. Gone are the days when the greater majority of our young people with the potential and wherewithal to catapult themselves into a different orbit were zombified and depended on handouts.”
“With that culture and mindset change inculcated in the population, Zambia will always be on an upward trajectory,”
he wrote.
