The National Restoration Party (NAREP) has commended President Hakainde Hichilema and various government agencies for their efforts in combatting the recent cholera outbreak.
They particularly praised the President’s directive to offer permanent employment to volunteers who displayed dedication during the crisis.
NAREP President Ezra Ngulube acknowledged past frustrations of volunteers not receiving permanent positions and urged relevant ministries to follow through on the President’s directive.
He emphasized the positive impact this would have on the healthcare system, improving the patient-to-health worker ratio and service delivery.
Ngulube appealed to all Zambians, regardless of political affiliation, to support the directive and the President’s vision of eradicating preventable diseases like cholera.
He expressed NAREP’s full support for the initiative and called on government officials to ensure all volunteers who participated receive the promised job opportunities.
“This is what NAREP believes, that Zambia should be a safe haven where diseases such as Cholera, Dissentery and other preventable diseases can be eradicated once and for all,” Ngulube declared.
