As imam of Madina’s Nabawi Mosque and a constitutional judge, Sheikh Al Qasim will spend three days in Zambia, delivering sermons and leading prayers at various mosques.

Upon arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, he was received by Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Zambia, Ali Saad Alkahtani, religious attaché Sheikh Sheikur Ashur, and local Muslim leaders.

Sheikh Al Qasim’s schedule begins tomorrow with a Friday sermon at Lusaka’s main mosque, Jaame, in Kamwala.

Notably, the Nabawi Mosque, initially built by Islamic Prophet Muhammad, is one of Saudi Arabia’s two holiest mosques, alongside the Haram Mosque, built by the biblical Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael.
