THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) is set to honour its most compliant taxpayers at the annual Taxpayer Appreciation Day on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
The event, which coincides with a historic K100 billion tax collection milestone, aims to recognise and celebrate the contributions of businesses and individuals who have consistently met their tax obligations.
According to the Authority’s corporate communications manager Oliver Nzala this year’s theme is “Taxes Build Zambia.”
Nzala announced that a wide range of sectors will be represented among the award recipients, reflecting the diverse contributions to the economy.
“Although there remains a significant number of taxpayers that are non-compliant in submitting returns and paying their taxes, it is important to celebrate and appreciate those that [take] their contributions to the state seriously.
Taxpayer Appreciation Day will also feature an awards ceremony, where distinguished taxpayers will be honoured for their commitment to the nation.
The event is expected to be a highlight of the ZRA’s calendar, showcasing the positive impact of tax compliance on Zambia’s progress.
