THEY say, “when you educate a girl, you educate a nation.” Therefore, education is seen as the gateway to opportunities, prompting the Ibenga Alumni Association to hand over the key to success to two girls.

This sponsorship aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable pupils by covering school fees and basic needs during the pupils’ stay at Ibenga Girls Secondary School.

Violet Mabvuto and Pauline Chiluba who are grade 8 and 9 pupils respectively will no longer be held back by financial obstacles to attain an education.

The association’s Chairperson of the Copperbelt Chapter Anne Nsakashalo delivered more than just words of encouragement as she delivered the promise of a brighter tomorrow at the handover ceremony.

“We’re thrilled to embark on this journey, empowering deserving students to reach their full potential. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to giving back to our community and supporting the next generation of leaders.”

“We’re excited to start this journey and make a lasting impact on these students’ lives,” Nsakashalo added. “We urge our members and well-wishers to support this noble cause, enabling us to expand our reach and empower more students,” said Nsakashalo.
