WELL, one wouldn’t be shocked that famous folk musician Mumba Yachi happens to be one of the busiest musicians in the country especially not after learning that he has a good relationship with the immigration, not forgetting that his music is also unique and popular too.
During an Interview with Diamond TV, Mumba Yachi revealed that he was one of the busiest musicians in the country emphasising that he didn’t mean he was the busiest but “one of the busiest” lest they misquote him.
When asked if he makes money as a musician in the country, Ama Yachi said he was making a lot of money not only in Zambia but also outside the country noting that he travels from time to time.
“If you have one of the busiest musicians in the country, it’s me. One of the musicians who are not mostly in the country it’s me. Yes I’m making money,” he revealed.
“I’m always out, as we are talking right now, I am on tour. I make money in Zambia and outside the country but I love it more outside.”
Mumba Yachi stated that he was thankful to God for doubling things for him by making money in and outside the country.
He said Zambians have come to love and appreciate his music reason enough for him to keep pushing the Folkish sound which had been missing in the country.
“This time around, I’m appreciated even more. People appreciate me a lot, they believe in me and I keep a certain heritage for Zambia,” disclosed the music legend.
The Folk music king has a new album called The Zamrock Food and is available on all digital platforms for streaming.
