PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says the school curricular will now take into account the importance of teaching children from an early age national unity.
This follows the recent happenings on tribal remarks and hate speech that the country has been subjected to.
Addressing the nation on Wednesday, President Hichilema stated that cabinet resolved on Tuesday that subjects or topics will now be ocherstrated around national unity and values.
He said this is aimed at teaching children the importance of national unity and love from an early age in order for the country to be united.
“We are doing this to save the younger generation. Some of the older ones are finished their heads are polluted. The only way we can deal with them is prosecution and jail.”
“Together we can breed a group of citizens that live and support each other. After all you are married to each other. I don’t know why people would pretend when they are in politics away from the bedroom,” noted Hichilema.
President Hichilema believes that once the younger generation is taught national unity and love from a young age they will grow to love everyone in the country regardless of their tribe.
He is optimistic that this will save Zambia from chaos and thuggery.
