NDOLA Diocese Catholic Priest Father Elias Muma has condemned politicians that are promoting tribalism and hatred in the country labeling them as enemies of the country.
In a homily broadcast live on Radio Icengelo yesterday, Fr. Muma stated that politicians that are promoting tribalism and hatred should not be tolerated in the country therefore, calling for a way of dealing with such individuals severely.
The priest stated that tribal politicians only prove to the country that they are not patriotic.
“A divisive politician is an enemy of our country and must be punished. We are praying for unity every day during mass. Hatred, revenge and discord should not be tolerated.”
“Your voice as a politician doesn’t make sense when you are saying bad things about your own country, any person who says bad things about Zambia is not patriotic. It is unfortunate that there are some politicians who have continued to sow seeds of division, bitterness and hatred. When you see such a person just know that they are after your life,” warned Muma.
He encouraged Zambians to continue being united as seen by inter- marriages.
