A BLICKLAYER of Lusaka’s Chazanga Compound has broken his family foundation after using his human pillar to satisfy his sexual desires using his 9-year old daughter.
Raphael Phiri aged 39, is in police custody for allegedly defiling nine-year-old repeatedly for over eight months.
His actions have shattered his family and left neighbours reeling.
According to police sources, Phiri molested his daughter from May 2023 until January 2024.
His disturbing behaviour went unnoticed until concerned neighbours observed changes in the child’s behaviour and suspected something amiss.
Following their investigation, neighbours reported Phiri to the Chazanga police, leading to his arrest.
Zambia Police deputy Spokesperson Danny Mwale confirmed the arrest to Kalemba.
“He (Phiri) is in police custody and he is yet to be charged for the offence of defilement,” said Mwale
Sources told Kalemba that Phiri’s wife who is a pastor at one of the pentecostal churches in the neighbourhood was unwell during the alleged abuse, offering him the opportunity to exploit the situation.
