META will begin to pay Zambian artist B-flow for his social media content as he gains access to monetization on Facebook and Instagram.

This development comes after years of advocacy by B-flow and other Zambian artists, who had long been excluded from monetization opportunities on these platforms due to their country’s absence from the list of qualifying nations.
B-flow, known for his passionate and impactful music, took to social media to share his excitement, stating, “finally i have been monetized… My fellow Zambian artists know how long we have fought this battle. Needless to say, we have been trying to get our social platforms monetized for a very long time.”
The Zambian artist’s journey to monetization took an interesting turn just two months ago when he was chosen by Meta to be among the first brands in the world to own a WhatsApp channel.
B-flow reflected on the significance of this achievement, saying, “The lesson here is, we must be so impactful that even when we are in a location that is not easily recognizable to the rest of the world, our impact should still be felt so much that it can earn us the eligibility we require.”
This long-awaited development opens the door for more Zambian artists and creators to be eligible for monetization, providing them with the opportunity to earn income for the content they share on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and now WhatsApp channels.
B-flow took a moment to express his gratitude to his followers, acknowledging that their support was instrumental in achieving this milestone.
As B-flow aptly puts it, “Dear young African king, You are qualified right where you are.”
