THE Kalumbila Royal Establishment has sent a warning to the minister of Green Economy and Environment, Collins Nzovu to prove the allegations he labelled against it of denying the local people land.
In response to recent allegations made Nzovu in the Mast Newspaper on August 10, 2023, concerning grazing land in the Shakumbila Chiefdom, the Shakumbila Royal Establishment has issued a statement.
The Royal Establishment expressed its concern about the accusations made by Nzovu, emphasizing the importance of unity within the chiefdom.
The Senior Chief and the Royal Establishment stressed that the strength of the chiefdom lay in its unity, and divisive actions and false claims have the potential to undermine this unity.
The Royal Establishment underscored the significance of the grazing land to the community, highlighting that it holds not only historical and traditional value but also sustains the livelihoods of the people.
The Senior Chief and the Royal Establishment asserted their responsibility to protect the ancestral heritage and the interests of the community.
In light of the allegations, the Royal Establishment called for constructive dialogue and urged Nzovu to raise any legitimate concerns he may have.

If he fails to substantiate his claims, the Royal Establishment warned, “ULAKACHIBONA CHAKASUBIZHYA KWALE MULOMO.”
