THIEVES in Lusaka have selfishly overlooked the well being of the mothers to-be after they broke into IVF and Fertility Clinic, stealing items valued at K1,666,807.
IVF and fertility clinic is a Zambian specialist private clinic that offers gynecology, fertility and maternity services.
However, in the early cold hours of June 2, 2023 and June 3, 2023, some daring thieves broke into the hospital, through a hygiene room window.
A Pre-Secure guard who was positioned to guard the facility, threw away his security utensils and opted to join hands with the thieves and at the end of the sinful act, they walked away with seven HP desktop computers,
seven APC power backups, a Voluson ultra-sound scanner, four Acer, HP, Lenovo, and Dell laptops, three Plasma TVs, a Camera Control Unit and other assorted items.
This break-in has rendered the health facility malfunctional.
A doctor at the same hospital, Kafuuma Joseph, reported the matter to Woodlands Police Station after discovering the damage on June 3, 2023 around 06:15 hours.
Zambia Police Service spokesperson Rae Hamoonga, who confirmed the incident, said investigations into the case have been instituted and that police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
