USING Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for 2022, a staff house at Kabanda Police Post in Pambashe constituency is nearing completion.
Pambashe constituency is in Kawambwa district, Luapula Province.
Before the UPND assumed power in August 2021, CDF was pegged at a worthless K1.6 million per constituency.
But when Minister of Finance and National Planning Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane presented the UPND government’s first national budget for 2022 in October 2021, CDF was increased from that negligible K1.6 million to K25.7 million per constituency.
In the 2023 national budget, CDF was further hiked to K28.3 million per constituency.
Zambia has 156 constituencies and CDF is being dispursed simultaneously to the constituencies.
