Sinafala ward councillor Desmond Siandelema identified the victim as Oline Chaliseenta, who mer his fate while fishing on Lake Kariba on Tuesday this week.

Siandelema is elated that the boy survived the attack after wrestling with the crocodile.

“The boy was attacked while fishing in lake Kariba,” said Siandelema.

“We are really happy that he managed to fight back until he rescued himself. Right now he is admitted in Maamba General Hospital. The matter of concern is the rate at which our people are being attacked by crocodiles. Already we have lost five people in a short space of time.”
