POLICE on the Copperbelt have arrested a man, aged 38, who took the Nyanja saying; “Mulamu ni ndiyo” too seriously and attempted to forcibly “consume” his sister-in-law, 25 years his senior.
It has been reported that after spending the whole of Sunday April 16, gulping all manner of sexual boosting concoctions, Jonathan Chihingulu of the Copperbelt rural experienced metallic stiffness under his belt and urgently needed relief.
With no spouse, Chihingulu, under the cover of darkness around 02:00 hours, emerged from his village hut and tiptoed to the hut of his 63 year old sister-in-law.
After stealthily entering the hut, Chihingulu stripped himself and sneaked in the woman’s bed in readiness to mount.
However, before he could do anything, his sister-in-law awoke from her sleep and noticed the intruder before engaging in a struggle but could not scream because he covered her mouth with his hands.
When she finally got the chance, the woman shrilled out the mother of all screams that pierced every hut in the village and robbed everyone of their sleep.
Upon rushing to the scene where the SOS scream had come from, villagers found Chihingulu still attempting to illegally and forcefully satisfy his sexual urges.
He was then apprehended and with his manhood firmly standing at 180 degrees, was marched to the police station.
ZANIS reports that Copperbelt Province commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba has confirmed the incident saying Chihingulu has been charged with attempted rape and two other dockets of criminal trespass and assault have been opened against him.
