In a bid to allow citizens to access part of their benefits before retiring, President Hakainde Hichilema has signed into law the National Pension Scheme Amendment Bill 2023.
In a Facebook post this morning, President Hichilema shared that the new law will give citizens the opportunity to reinvest the funds into various ventures and assets of their choice.
He said the development will result in the creation of more jobs and will contribute to the country’s economic development agenda.
“We have signed into law, the National Pension Scheme Amendment Bill 2023 which, in line with our promise to the Zambian people, allows for the partial withdrawal of pensions,” wrote President Hichilema.
