The President reiterated that under his auspices, Zambia shall not degenerate to what it was during the PF dark era.
“We shouldn’t have short memories,” he said.
He noted that there was loss of professionalism in the police service.
“Let’s restore professionalism. Can you also clean our illegal guns. Minister [of Home Affairs and Internal Security Jack Mwiimbu], I chatted with you; you can’t have people discharging live ammunition willy-nilly. I went through a lot myself; [but] not a single day did I think of firing gunshots,” said President Hichilema.
