After two days of sitting from 14:30 to 23 hours, Parliament has successfully passed the supplementary budget and the accompanying Appropriation Bill (a proposed law that authorizes the expenditure of government funds)
Minister of Justice Mulambo Haimbe expressed his pride in the Ministry of Justice, commending his team for making the progress possible.
Haimbe announced this morning on his Facebook page that Parliament has made progress in drafting important pieces of legislation, among them the unprecedented Children’s Code Bill.
He also disclosed that the Public Debt Management Bill, the Tobacco Bill and others have reached the final stages in the enactment process,
“while the Anti Human Trafficking Act (Amendment) Bill will be introduced for first reading before the house goes on recess,” Haimbe added.
