Three Ndola women ransack investor

A SWEDISH man in search of investment opportunities in Ndola on the Copperbelt has fallen victim of theft at the hands of three mysterious women.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer, Sharon Zulu says that Svensson Karl Magnus,61 was lodging at Ndola’s Star-scape hotel when three women took advantage of his drunken state.
ZANIS reports that Ms. Zulu confirmed in an interview that Mr. Magnus whilst drinking with three unknown women at the named hotel fell asleep which gave the trio an opportunity to steal his iPhone 13Promax valued at K 26 , 000.
Stating that the trio also managed to get K35,500 cool cash, 900 Swedish Krons, and two ATM cards from the victim, Ms.Zulu said that the incident took place between July 15, 2022 at 22:00 hours and July 16, 2022, around 05:00 hours, respectively.
Mr. Magnus, who came to Ndola during the trade fair period , has been lodging at the Starscape hotel and was exploring business opportunities.
“He has been lodging at Starscape Hotel room number 16 since that time because he was still looking for some business opportunities within the Copperbelt,” Ms. Zulu said.
On July 15, 2022, at 18 hours, the victim met the three women who allegedly were also lodging at the same hotel and were also drinking in the beer garden.
At this point, the three women invited the victim to join them and were offered the famous castle larger which he imbibed to his fulfillment.
It was at this point, the trio asked Mr. Magnus to give them his phone so that they could be playing some music before they extended the guzzling spree into his room at 21 hours.
” ( Alas) At around 22 hours, he fell into a deep sleep. The following day around 10 hours he was awakened by one of his workers, Mala Yamba who went to check on him in the room after failing to get through ( his mobile phone).
“ Upon waking up, Mr. Magnus discovered that his money, cellphone, and all bank cards had been stolen and the ladies were nowhere to be seen, ” she said.
Ms. Zulu said the victim’s room was locked from the outside and the mysterious women went away with the keys.
She has disclosed that police have visited the crime scene and viewed the footage which revealed one suspect at the reception at the time she was booking a room.
“The receptionist confirmed that the women checked out at around 05:00 hours,” Ms. Zulu said.
The Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer stated that further investigations reveal that the names written in the ledger book for the suspect are Sarah Wanjiru John of Mombasa Kenya.
She said after contacting his bank, the victim was informed that cash amounting to K30, 000 was also withdrawn at around 06:30 hours at Stanbic Bank, Kafubu Mall branch in Ndola.
Ms. Zulu said investigations in the matter have continued.
