EMMANUEL ‘Jay Jay ‘ Banda has thrown party loyalty into the political dustbin and rolled his sleeves for a one-on-one rumble with Dora Siliya for the Petauke Central Seat.
Unlike most discarded PF parliamentary hopefuls who have been singing the cliched chorus declaring their love and affection for their successful opponents, Banda has charged that he will book an independent slot on the Petauke Ballot Paper as he feels the central committee left him out solely on the basis that he had a boxing match with Lilayi graduates stationed at Lusaka Central Police.
“…… now the cry for my people is over, I am coming in 3 months time as Petauke Central Constituency MP,” confident Banda declared.
Meanwhile, Banda joins Zindaba Soko, former RTSA boss in going it solo after being discarded by PF.
Soko has declared that he will “protect” the Ngoni capital of Chipata as an independent candidate after Amon Jere was picked over him.
