JOSEPHS Akafumba has vowed to ensure Saboi Imboela and her group are turned into a dance troupe in the courts of law for ignoring a court order stopping them from masquerading to be National Democratic Congress (NDC) leaders.
After Chishimba Kambwili’s resignation from the NDC on Thursday night, Imboela announced herself as party president.
Speaking during a presser in Lusaka yesterday, Akafumba said he was the legitimate NDC president and Imboela’s prouncemnets amounted to lawlessness and contempt of Court.
He revealed that he had instructed lawyers to apply for the contempt hearing against Kambwili and Imboela to be be brought forward because he the set June 29, 2021 was too far.
He added that even Chishimba Kambwili despite having jumped ship will still have to face the court over his legal sins whilst in NDC.
“On 23 April Before Ndola High Court Judge Mulanda, it was made very very clear that the injuction against Kambwili, his servants and agents which includes Saboi and everyone else was in force.
But because this is a lawless group that has no regard for for judiciary, the time for them to dance pelete is coming.
We have obtained leave to commit proceedings and a notice of motion already in force against Saboi, Kaonga, Mbulo and Kambwili himself.
Therefore by jumping ship at this late hour with the notice of motion is already and date set, will not save Kambwili.
The question before court will be; did he disobey the injunction before he jumped to PF. The answer is yes”, Akafumba said.
Akafumba has also called out Kambwili as Bemba tribalist who organised a mob to hound out Wynter Kabimba from PF on the basis that non-Bemba could not be PF Secretary General and that he was now redirecting his tribalist energies towards UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema.
