WITH a PF adoption certificate folded in her handbag, Iris Kaingu has been offered a laundry day at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Having short to stardom for recording a cinematographic rendition of her sexual exploits, Iris has nevertheless been adopted to inherit her father’s former constituency of Mwandi in the lower Western Province.

Iris linked up with Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili during the launch of the PF manifesto at the Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka yesterday and the clasped in warm embrace.

Cognizant of lris’ tattered past and poor relationship with cloths, Rev Sumaili, the government’s defacto High Priest offered to provide mentorship to Iris so that she can be seen as “honourable” by voters and society.

Quoting scripture, Rev Sumaili said “Crying on my shoulders! We have to give hope to people and give them a chance to be transformed and be restored. Jesus Christ died for every human being. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will receive everlasting life (John 3:16).  Forgiveness of our sins is the benefit of the cross. Love is the greatest commandment we have been given. We should allow and help people to open a new page in their lives. The grace of God is sufficient for all of us. I stand ready to mentor my daughter Iris.”

Iris is one of the five women who have been adopted on the ruling party ticket in Western Province.
