A 57-YEAR-OLD woman of Lusaka’s Balastone area has died eight days after her husband emptied a pot of boiling water on her.
Mandadu Daka suffered severe burns from the actions of her husband, Charles Lungu.
She died around 07:00 hours this morning at Matero level One Hospital where she had been admitted since April 14, 2021.
Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo has confirmed Daka’s death and said a man-hunt has been launched for Lungu who bolted soon after committing the crime.
If found, Lungu is assured of long-term accommodation in a correction facility since police have upgraded his charge from inflicting Grievous bodily harm to murder.
