SON of PF founder Mulenga Sata has pulled a fast one on Japhen Mwakalombe, incumbent PF Provincial Treasurer at the ongoing elective PF Lusaka Province Conference.
Mwakalombe who is also Chongwe MP and Copperbelt Minister had up to today morning been unopposed until Sata threw himself in the ring to handle the lucrative party purse.
Meanwhile, the event which is surprisingly peaceful has pitted Kannedy Kamba against Charles Chimumbwa for the position of PF Lusaka Province Chairperson.
Voting is currently underway.
The conference was was officially opened by President Edgar Lungu who said the PF was still the most attractive party going by the overwhelming number of applications it had received for people aspiring to contest on the party ticket.
