PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says late Tanzania leader John Magufuli will be remembered as “a fearless Leader who sacrificed his life to serve the less privileged and transform his country”.
President Magufuli’s death was announced yesterday after weeks of not being seen in public.
In his commiserations, President Lungu said that late Magufuli was a brother, colleague and friend who will be remembered as a fearless leader who strived to transform his country and serve the poor.
President Lungu mourned that heaven had gained one of Africa’s brightest and bravest souls.
Magufuli was sworn-in for his second term of office last October.
