THE Democratic Party has called for applications from candidates aspiring to be parliarmentarians, council chairpersons, mayors and councilors on its ticket in the August 12, 2021 elections.
According to a notice, interested candidates have up to March 22 to submit their applications.
“Kindly note that particular conditions apply even as applications are being submitted,” the notice read.
The DP is led by former Bahati Constituency member of parliarment Harry Kalaba who resigned his position as foreign affairs minister in 2018 citing corruption and misrule.
Since his resignation, Kalaba has insisted he is the best to lead Zambia and vows he will be sworn-in as seventh republican president after the August 12 polls.
