MWANSABOMBWE Constituency aspiring candidate Brian Musonda has encouraged youths to register as voters in large numbers.
Speaking to youths during the voter sensitization exercise in Mwansabombwe, Musonda said the voices of the youth and the general public who are eligible to vote could only be heard through the ballot.
“The vote is a silent voice that empowers citizens to make critical life decisions such as picking the right leaders of society that people desire in order to experience progress. There is need to cement our position in society by supporting one another as youths”, Musonda said.
He said young people have the power to change the narratives in the country by being participating in governance.
“The major task is to help cement another term for President Lungu in order to complete his legacy and continue giving youths opportunities and the continuous massive infrastructure development taking place countrywide,” said Musonda.
He further appealed to Zambian s to register as voters.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia on Saturday announced a further extension to the voter registration exercise, effective Wednesday December 16.
