ATLAS Mara Bank and Lafarge yesterday announced drew 30 winners of consolation prizes in the ongoing “Three Houses 3 Ways to Win” competition.

The 30 were picked randomly after an electronic shuffle at the Southern Sun Hotel in Lusaka and will be handed various start-up building materials.

The starter packs included cement, wheelbarrows and dump roof membranes among other building materials, while the overall prizes of the competition are three houses costing K1.1 million each.

Speaking during the announcement of the winners, Lafarge commercial director Chooye Hamusankwa said the aim of the competition was “to empower customers by providing shelter for them, through construction of the three-bedroomed houses.

Hamusankwa invited members of the public to make themselves eligible for the competition by either buying 10 bags of Mphamvu or Supaset Cement which they should pay for via Tigmoo or Afridelivery Mobile Apps.

“Perhaps you can be our next monthly draw winner,” said. Hamusankwa.

The competition continues to run up to December 15 in different towns including Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe, Chingola, Livingstone, Chipata and Solwezi.

Atlas Mara Bank head of retail and digital banking Teza Ngulube also said the competition was meant to appreciate customers, adding that recognising their satisfaction was the reason the bank existed.

Ngulube thanked Thebe Investments, trading as Nkwashi Housing Development, and Lafarge Zambia for the partnership.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank the general public and our existing customers for embracing the ‘new normal’ and participating overwhelmingly in this campaign of which the response has been very positive he said,” he said.

“I would like to urge those who are yet to participate to enter the competition and inform their friends and family that they stand a great chance of winning one of the three three-bedroomed high cost starter houses at Nkwashi Housing Estate worth K1.1 million each which many of us would is a dream come true.”

Ngulube said the Altas Mara was excited to have integrated the Atlas Mara Mobile Banking App and the Tenga Mobile Money Wallet on Tigmoo Eats, which currently offered over 8,000 products on the platform including the ability to buy Lafarge Cement which qualified one to enter the campaign.

Ngulube also announced that prospective Atlas Mara customers could now open an account with the bank online.
