Lungu donates to Kawambwa churches

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has donated materials worth K300 000 Kwacha to five churches in Kawambwa District, Luapula Province.

Tourism and Arts Minister Ronald Chitotela says the President wants to improve the condition of churches in the country.

He says the items include hand sanitizers, surgical gloves, face masks and washing buckets.

The Pambashe Constituency Member of Parliament was speaking to journalists during a tour of his Constituency.

And Chitotela has aided Pambashe Constituency in Kawambwa District, Luapula Province with 15 000 surgical masks in the wake of the Coronavirus global pandemic.

Chitotela has further delivered 150 boxes of hand sanitizers, 500 boxes hand gloves and over 200 washing buckets.

The Cabinet Minister says the items were donated by well-wishers who have joined forces with Government to curb Coronavirus.
