ZESCO has announced that it will tonight shutdown Kafue Gorge Power station for emergency maintenance works.
According to a statement from Zesco, the Kafue Gorge Hydro Power Station will be off from 23:00 hours tonight to 03:00 hours tomorrow, so as to facilitate continued emergency maintenance works.
The country’s sole power firm stated that most customers around Zambia would be affected during the said hours.
It further assured customers that the situation would normalise as soon as the works are completed.
“ZESCO Limited wishes to inform its esteemed customers and the general public that Kafue Gorge Hydro Power Station will be shut down between 23:00 hours tonight, 01 February 2020 and 03:00 hours tomorrow 02 February 2020 to facilitate continued emergency maintenance works,” read the statement.
