POLICE in Chingola have arrested seven people in connection with gassing incidences in the mining town.
Copperbelt Commisioner of Police Charity Katanga said in Chingola yesterday that people involved I gassing citizens in Chingola are an organised group with a common purpose, reports Zambia Daily Mail.
She also said about 80 people had been gassed in Chingola between Friday night and Saturday morning and that 79 had been treated and discharged.
One was still receiving treatment.
“We have picked up seven people in connection with what is going on here. One of them will appear in court on Monday for unlay poisoning,” Katanga said.
She said one of the suspects was found with a gaseous substance in his underwear.
