MUSICIAN and gender activist Daputsa Zulu fondly known as Sister D is celebrating her birthday today.

Sister D will mark her birthday with the release of a single ‘Amusalumba’ – a redone version of hit song she did sometime back.

‘Amusalumba’ is a castigation of ungrateful people.

Maiko Zulu, her Husband of 26 years with whom she has two children is definitely not the one being castigated in the ‘Amusalumba’ song – he is very appreciative of his wife.

“She’s a pillar of strength for many and has been with me through thick and thin. She’s one of the most tolerant people I know and her advise is invaluable. Despite us being so different in a lot of ways from taste of food to political views, we somehow find common ground because of her open mindedness. Her love for the poor and vulnerable is God sent,” Maiko told #Kalemba.

Maiko also posted a birthday message for his wife on Facebook that read, “My friend, wife, personal adviser, business partner, sparring partner, critic, accomplice and everything in between!!!! Tuleya tulekula”

Sista D music carrier spans over 20 years and is currently the vice-chairperson of Zambia Association of Musician (ZAM)

Over the years, she has lent her voice and lyrics towards ending Gender-Based Violence condemning the vice ans calling for stiffer punishment of offenders.

A woman’s age is a sensitive issue, #Kalemba is trying to get police protection to mention how Sista D has turned today😂😂

Otherwise for now, Happy Birthday Day to our Heroine!
