Lusambo orders closure MultiChoice Zambia HQ for recording COVID-19 cases

    LUSAKA Provincial Minister Bowman Lusambo has ordered provincial medical director to close MultiChoice Zambia Headquarter for recording COVID-19 cases.

    The minister made the order through a Facebook posting.

    He stated that Multichoice should not be allowed to be “mass spreaders of the COVID-19” as the second wave of the various gets at pick.

    Lusambo further advised DSTV customers to use digital platforms to service their subscriptions.

    “I have instructed the office of the Provincial Medical Director to immediately shut down MultiChoice Zambia Head Office located along Alick Nkhata after the premises recorded a number of positive Covid-19 cases. Our guidelines stipulate that places that record positive cases should be closed to allow for fumigation and disinfection,” stated Lusambo.

    “We will not allow organizations to turn their premises into mass spreaders. Customers should be encouraged to use alternative digital platforms. My appeal is to business houses especially the private sector to rise to the occasion and help government cut the spread of the pandemic by doing the correct thing.”
