DEC arrests ZCAS students found with “special imported cannabis”

THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has rounded up two Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS) students along with three other people found with what the commission says is special imported cannabis.

DEC spokesperson Theresa Katongo told Kalemba in a statement that the cannabis found with arrested students was “more potent than the locally grown cannabis.”

“Kachizya Mulenga, 20, and Choma Chato, 19, both students at ZCAS have been arrested and jointly charged with Shawa Mwale, 23, Gift Kumwala, 36, and Samson Sinkala, 25, for trafficking in 19 sachets of special cannabis,” revealed Katongo.
