A BEACON of hope has arrived in Mansa, Luapula Province, with the inauguration of a new Anti-Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and User Friendly Fast track court.
This specialised court, established under a joint government-UN initiative, aims to deliver swift justice for GBV victims.
The user-friendly atmosphere and stricter enforcement procedures promise a new era of support for those facing violence.
This court is one of seven being constructed under the GRZ-UN Joint Phase Two Prevention and Response Programme.
Chief Justice Mumba Malila revealed that the court aims to enforce stricter laws and expedite GBV cases.
“This initiative will ensure that victims receive quick attention in cases of GBV,” said Malila.
“We are striving to make this system as accessible as possible so that victims feel encouraged to seek justice. It’s for the benefit of our people.”
