BISHOP John General whose Church in Lusaka’s Matero Township who may have some top notch BBC documentary material is yet to take plea in a matter he is accused of raping a married follower.
The owner of Miracle Impact Ministries International Church was at the Lusaka Magistrates Court this morning in the company of his wife Maureen, who has shown unwavering support to her husband in the wake of the scandal.
His bond was extended to January 19 before he leisurely walked the corridors of the Lusaka Magistrates Court hand-in-hand with his wife to continue with their evangelism works.
Police arrested and charged the Bishop whose official names are John Nundwe with rape late November.
Graphel Musamba’s men have in their custody the Bishop’s boxers, shirt, trousers, slippers along with a car and his phones which they say he left behind as he fled after being found in the act by the husband of the victim.
While John General has not publicly addressed the matter himself, his followers have accused the devil of being the architect of the scandal.
