BOOTLESS former PF intercity bus terminus commander Francis Muchemwa has continued pestering the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court to allow him access to house on reasons that he wants to evaluate the properties seized by ACC on his own.

The once feared commander said the ACC inflated the figures in assessing the value of the properties hence he wants to give the Court the correct value of his house and flats.

In an affidavit in support of summons for an order for the grant of access to seized property under the control of the Court Muchemwa indicated that the State produced evidence attesting to the alleged value of the properties which is false.

“I intend to produce my own valuation reports of the properties for consideration of the Court,”Muchemwa said.

“In order to produce the said report I will require access to properties for the purpose of compiling data for the report.”

He said the Court should allow him to gain entry to his house so that he can adequately prepare for his defence.

“It is the right of every accused person to be granted adequate facilities for the preparation of their defense,”He argued.

The humbled ferocious commander said he wrote to the Director general of the Anti Corruption Commission requesting for permission to gain entry to his mansion but Tom Shamakamba has ignored him.

He said the Court has power to order the commission to allow him access the properties in the interest of justice.

Muchemwa and his companies are facing six counts of possessing suspicious property worth over K12 million and obtaining money through pecuniary advantages.
