FORMER Kabushi PF member of parliament Bowman Lusambo will join street kids to spend nights under fly-over bridges constructed by PF, as the Economic and Finacial Crimes Court (High Court division) has validated the warrant of seizure obtained by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), to grab his Lusaka’s Chamba Valley house.
Last year, Lusaka magistrate Albert Mwaba annulled the warrant of seizure which gave the ACC authority to place Lusambo’s house under its control, whilst his criminal cases are pending determination, for being defective.
The DPP appealed the decision of magistrate Mwaba before the EFCC.
In its judgment, the court said magistrate Mwaba misdirected himself when he referred to Order 5 Rule 11 of the Subordinate Court (Civil jurisdiction) Rules, which require the filing of an affidavit before it can be used in court, especially that the case was at investigations stage.
The anti-graft fighting body now have Lusambo in its palms, as it will decide on whether he continues staying in his fancy house or throw him out.
