I MAY be single, I may have had failed relationships, I may be divorced but that does not make me a high level prostitute, Information and Broadcasting Services minister Dora Siliya has told the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court.
Siliya, 49, who is also Chief Government spokesperson, said being single, having failed relationship or being divorced does not mean she sells human beings for sex.
She was testifying in a case in which Photographer Chellah Tukuta, 34, is charged with libel.
Allegations are that Tukuta published defamatory matter affecting Chief Government spokesperson Dora Siliya in the form of a video on Facebook that Ms Siliya is a pimp and hooks up girls for high profile people like ministers and permanent secretaries.
Tukuta pleaded not guilty to the charge.
