He observed that the revival of the Copperbelt’s mining sector was on course, saying already paid creditors’ have boosted economic activities in the mining townships.

Mayangwa further praised President Hakainde Hichilema and his mines minister Paul Kabuswe for providing good leadership under difficult circumstances.

He said Zambia needed good leadership, like President Hakainde Hichilema and his minister, who had acted above board to reopen the two giant mining firms.

“I recently visited Chingola and Chililabombwe, and what I saw was that the towns are coming to life. There are positive economy activities going on there. This means we are on the right track because of good leadership being provided by President Hakainde Hichilema and his minister Paul Kabuswe in the mining sector,” Mayangwa observed.

He noted that more job openings were coming in the mining sector as more investments were being made.

“I am happy for my people on the Copperbelt, and I would encourage them to stand up and grab the job opportunities that the mining giants have announced. Finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel,” said Mayangwa.
