President Hakainde Hichilema has called on Zambians to appreciate investors, emphasising the critical role they play in fostering economic development and employment opportunities for citizens.
Speaking during the inauguration of Zambian Breweries’ $80 million upgraded plant in Lusaka today, President Hichilema rebuked the tendency of labeling investors as imperialists.
He asserted that such characterization is unfair and detrimental to the nation’s progress.
President Hichilema underscored the importance of attracting more investment to fuel job creation and stimulate economic growth.
“The UPND New Dawn Government is very clear that economic expansion is one of our critical agendas and that can only come through investments,” remarked President Hichilema.
The head of state urged citizens to abandon stereotypes and embrace the positive impact of investments on various sectors.
